Polymeric film formers are usually added in cosmetic formulations for various purposes. In color cosmetic and sun care formulations, they maintain the product in place under all conditions and through all day, by improving it transfer resistance, it water resistance and its long lasting properties. Whereas, in hair styling and hair fixative products, film formers are the main active ingredient to hold the hairs by creating a transparent substantive film on the hair fibers.
